Dr Corletto graduated with honours from Padua University in 1997. After a residency at the Animal Health Trust, he became Diplomate of the ECVAA in 2003. He worked as lecturer in Padua University, Clinical Anaesthetist at the Animal Health Trust and Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow at Addenbrooke's hospital. In 2011 he was awarded a PhD in neuroscience by Cambridge University for his studies on the role of hypoxia in traumatic brain injury. He joined Dick White Referrals in 2008, where he runs the Anaesthesia Service.
He as authored 49 peer-reviewed publications (article and abstracts) and a handbook of anaesthesia of the dog and cat.
He has been member and then chairperson of the Credential and Education Committee, and currently is President of the ECVAA.
