EBVS website update

The EBVS website has undergone some changes in the last few months. Thanks so much to website support team at the RVC, Jeff Bullock and Peter Nunn. The contract with the webmasters has been renewed for 2017 at 850£ + VAT/and 50£ per hour additional support.

The EBVS has received quite a few requests for publicizing vacancies in residency programmes, academic positions etc., and we hope that this will be of service to our diplomates and future residents. WE have therefore created a “Vacancies” section on the Homepage, replacing the under-utilized "Events" section. Events are now included in the “News” category.

As many of you are aware, the grey silhouettes of those diplomates who have chosen not to include a picture have been replaced by country flags. The website is for the general public as well as having a secure login section. It does not create a good impression if there are blank spaces where there should be images! If you have chosen to remove the country flag please consider including a suitable image e.g. a suitable professional photo or a photo reflecting your work.

The December e-Newsletter was well received and is available on the website. We will continue with this format, with up to four issues of the newsletter per year.

The FAQs have been modified to make them easier to refer to, with categories including “Specialist training by EBVS-recognised Colleges - Internships and Residencies – Examinations - Adverse Decisions – Diplomates - EBVS deadlines, board members, other representatives and the EBVS Annual General Meeting”.

According to Google Analytics, visits to the website have increased by over 60% compared to the same period last year!!
