Marta Amat obtained her BVSc at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She is Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine – Companion Animals (ECVBM-CA) and has a PhD in Veterinary Medicine. Since 2001 she is working in the Animal Behaviour Services of the Hospital Clínic Veterinari at the UAB, and since 2009 she is in charge of this service.
