Professor Tomàs Camps obtained his BVSc, MSc (Behavioural Medicine in Small Animals in 2004 and Animal Research in 2010) and his PhD (focused on individual differences in small animal behavioural problems) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He is a diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. Tomàs has authored multiple national and international publications and is a regular speaker at both national and international conferences. He has co-authored four books on the subject of behavioural medicine for veterinary practitioners. Between 2009 and 2017, Tomàs was part of the Nutrition and Animal Welfare Service at UAB, working as a professor, researcher and clinical behaviourist. Currently, Tomàs has his own behavioural referral service (Etovets: Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine) in Spain. He continues to collaborate with UAB on research programmes and for teaching purposes.
