Corina Berset (-Istratescu) graduated as valedictorian from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania, in 2007. Afterwards, she moved to Switzerland where she became Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bern, Vetsuisse Faculty, in 2012.

She worked as veterinarian and technical specialist at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne, at the Center for BioMedical Imaging until 2015. Then she moved to the AO Foundation in Davos, where she completed an ECLAM Residency in 2018 and also worked as Project Leader.

Corina Berset currently works as Animal Welfare Officer (AWO) in the Office for Animal Welfare & 3R at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.

She was the convenor of the FELASA Working Group on Farm Animals: Health and Welfare of Ruminants and Pigs (2017-2020), member of the SGV Scientific Committee (2019-2020), member of the ECLAM Website Redesign Working Group (2017-2019) and member of the ECLAM Examinations Committee (2020-2021).

She is currently member of AALAS, AFSTAL, ARSAL, ECLAM, ESLAV, GV-SOLAS, LASA, LAVA, SAVIR, SGV, the Swiss AWO Network, the Swiss Culture of Care Network, UFAW.
