I received my veterinary degree from the Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona, in 2008, and a PhD in neuroscience in 2015 from the same university. In 2015 I finished the residence in laboratory animal medicine and the master course in laboratory animal science and welfare at the Animal Physiology unit, Faculty of veterinary medicine of Barcelona. There, I also actively collaborated in the coordination of different lab animal training courses and worked in the laboratory animal service (SIAL). In November 2016, I passed my board examinations and became a Diplomate. From 2016 to 2018 I worked in SJD Barcelona Children’s hospital, as a veterinarian postdoctoral fellow developing large animal models in fetal medicine. Since November 2018 I am currently working as a member of the Veterinary Area in the rodent unit facility at the Parc Científic of Barcelona. Since 2016 I am also an associated lecturer in ‘Veterinary Physiology’ and ‘Laboratory Animal Science’ at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Barcelona.
