Saara Sander received her veterinary degree in 2008 at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. After receiving her doctorate degree in 2010 (dealing with the effects of feed structure on the gastrointestinal tract of pigs), she worked as assistant at the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. She passed the exam for the German specialisation for animal nutrition and dietetics in 2014 and the exam of the ECVCN in 2018. Since 2018 she works at H. Wilhelm Schaumann GmbH, a German company producing mineral feed for livestock, as product manager swine.
