Ana Oliveira, Dip ECVD, is graduated from the Veterinary Medicine Faculty in Lisbon (DVM). Dr Oliveira completed a Master Degree in Medical Parasitology (MsC) at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Lisbon. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr Oliveira was a dermatology resident at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. After completing the residency, she became Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dermatology Service of the College of Veterinary Medicine, NCSU (2007-2009).
Since 2010, Dr Oliveira is a Professor at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Lisbon. She is the Head of Dermatology Service and the Head of Infectious Diseases Department and Microbiology. She also the Coordinator of the Ethics and Animal Welfare Committee at the University.
Her work includes lectures, clinical service and research with multiresistant bacterial skin infections.
