The primary objectives of the ECVDI are to improve the quality of

• Animal health care by making available, specialised knowledge and skills in veterinary diagnostic imaging
• Veterinary general practice through contact between general practitioners and registered specialists
• Service to the public by, amongst other things, the protection of the public from unqualified "specialists".
