Dr Fabio Procoli

EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine

Graduated at the University of Bari in 2003. From 2004 to 2008 worked in small animal general practice in the UK. Completed a 1-year rotating small animal internship at Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2009. In 2012 completed a small animal internal medicine residency program at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Obtained the ACVIM diploma in Internal Medicine in 2012 and the ECVIM diploma in Internal Medicine in 2014. Worked as internal medicine consultant at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialist from 2014 to 2017 where he was also Deputy Head of Internal Medicine and Head of the Feline Hyperthyroidism Clinic. From 2017 to present works at Ospedale Veterinario Portoni Rossi Anicura in Bologna as Head of Internal Medicine and Director of ECVIM residency program. He is currently also Vice-President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Internal Medicine, member of the ECVIM examination committee and EBVS National Representative for Italy. Main research and clinical interests: small animal gastroenterology, post graduate teaching, leadership and mentorship. Author of peer reviewed scientific articles and Co-Editor of the Feline Gastroentetology Textbook (Ed. Edra).
