EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Cardiology

Iolanda is the responsible of the Cardiology Service. She received her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1989. She started her clinical activity in small animals as a generalist in Barcelona (CV Poble Nou, CV Masnou). In 1990 she joined to Ars Veterinaria team to the emergency service, and later to the Internal Medicine Service, with special interest in cardiology.
She has completed her residency in cardiology at the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, ECVIM-CA, between Ars Veterinaria Hospital and the Gran Sasso Veterinary Clinic in Milan, from 2012-2015. Currently she has become a Diplomate of cardiology of the ECVIM-CA and accredited by AVEPA also in cardiology.
She is a member of AVEPA, " Asociación Española de Veterinarios especialistas en pequeños animales " and has been vice president of the AVEPA Working Group of cardiology and respiratory system - GECAR, from 2015 to 2018. She is a member of the ESVC "European Society of Veterinary Cardiology " and the EVBS" European Board of Veterinary Specialization ".
She has made several rotations at veterinary hospitals in the United Kingdom and Italy. She is the author and co-author of several publications in internal medicine and cardiology and she regularly speaks at national conferences and meetings.
