EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine

Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pisa in 1975, Specialisation in “Small Animal Disease” in 1997. Entire scientific and didactic career at the University of Pisa, section of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, from 1979 as Assistant Professor, from 1983 as Associate Professor, from 2004 as non-tenure Full Professor, and then from December 2007 as tenure track Full Professor. Retired from the Academia on February 2021, and still engaged as a teacher at the University.
In 1998 qualified as Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Companion Animals, specialty Internal Medicine. In 2007, 2011, and 2015, 2020 passed and confirmed as Diplomate. In April 2004 appointed as Associate Member of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology.
Currently, consultant for a private veterinary clinic for small animals.
Author and co-author of more than 400 publications dealing with immune-hematology, clinical hematology and internal medicine of the dog, cat, horse and cattle. Invited speaker of more than 350 Conferences, Seminars and Courses on continuing education in Italy and abroad on related topics of expertise to practitioners involved in small animal and horses.
