Dr. Anna Bergh

Dr. Anna Bergh is a human physiotherapist, who became a veterinarian and thereafter wrote her PhD thesis on equine rehabilitation. She has devoted her professional life to research and education in animal rehabilitation and functional anatomy. She holds a position as associate professor at the Dept of Clinical Scinences at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Dr. Bergh has published scientific articles and chapters in international rehabilitation books and lectured internationally. She served as the first president of the Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy and has been on its board of directors thereafter. She has also been on the organization and scientific boards for several conferences on animal rehabilitation. Currently her research focus is on objective evaluation of pain and physical dysfunction in cats, dogs and horses, with use of pressure mat, EMG, accelerometer and IMU techniques, as well as evaluating non-pharmacological pain relieving methods. On her spare time- she enjoys “Telemark- skiing”
