Important news for EBVS specialists working in the UK

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Council recently approved a change to the Code of Conduct to strengthen the proper use of titles in practice, including specialist titles.

The change means that with effect from April 2016, all specialists must be registered with the RCVS and included on the RCVS specialist list if they want to practice and use the title of “Specialist” in the UK.

Thanks to EBVS’s rigorous standards, quality control system and a robust re-accreditation process, diplomats of European colleges holding the specialist title will be considered the gold standard. Thus, there will be minimal documentation required and a reduced fee.

The deadline for application to the 2016 listing is Thursday 30 September 2015.
