Short questionnaire on pan-European accreditation of veterinary continuous professional development.
Dear Colleague,
We are contacting you to ask for your input on a short (5 -10 min) questionnaire on pan-European accreditation of veterinary continuous professional development.
The non-profit organisation known as Veterinary Continuous Education in Europe (VetCEE) was established in 2014 by the founding organisations the Federation of Veterinarians (FVE), the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS) and the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners (UEVP).
Initially, the focus of VetCEE was on the accreditation of modular programmes of 30 ECTS. Recently, VetCEE's adapted its vision to accredit any kind of veterinary CPD activity or e-learning material designed for veterinarians, e.g. courses, congresses, modular programmes, workshops, etc. that fulfil the VetCEE quality requirements (including high quality scientific basis, free of bias, appropriate educational approach) and to grant credits (based on the ECTS credit system). VetCEE aims to work in close collaboration with the Veterinary Statutory Bodies and Competent Authorities towards a harmonised approach for mutual recognition of VetCEE credits across Europe.
With this questionnaire, VetCEE would like to engage with as many stakeholders as possible especially with the veterinary profession, academia, corporate veterinary business, CPD providers, Veterinary Statutory Bodies and Competent Authorities. The aim is to gauge interest and solicit feedback to ensure that the new VetCEE Framework is inclusive and serves the needs of the veterinary profession.
We would appreciate to receive your feedback by 10th March 2021.
We thank you in advance for your valuable contribution and please do not hesitate to share this questionnaire with any colleagues or interested parties.
Prof. Jimmy Saunders
VetCEE President
