Workshop - Publishing Your Science: Toolkit and Guidelines, 14 October 2018, Barcelona, Spain
This workshop will equip you with tools to improve your scientific writing skills. You will learn how paying close attention to your experience as a reader can be used to gain control over your role as an author. ARRIVE and other guidelines will also be discussed, helping ensure that essential information will be included in your publication.
Topics will include:
- The ARRIVE guidelines – how they help scientists writing up their research for publication
- The building blocks of expository writing - which content belongs where in the text
- The shape of a research article - textual strategies in writing the different paragraphs
