Cliffe Equine Vets is a 7 Vet established RCVS Accredited GP Equine Practice, based in the East Sussex countryside with good links to London, Brighton & Gatwick. We require an experienced permanent full time Equine Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in (sports) medicine (certificate holder/working towards a certificate/has interest in, with at least 3-5 years’ experience to join our caring and professional team. Ability to carry out/have an interest in anaesthesia would also be welcome.
You will be joining a 7 vet progressive practice with a fully equipped surgical facility and inpatient facilities for over 18 horses as well as a range of portable equipment. Facilities include both indoor/outdoor schools/horse walker. You will be working alongside a forward-thinking team which includes a Veterinary Surgeon/Dentist and a RVN/Dentist, both currently examiners for BAEDT as well as 6 other Veterinary Surgeons including a Diploma Holder from the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Your role will be both clinic based as well as ambulatory. Back up for field procedures is provided by 2 qualified EVNs, 1 student EVN and 2 experienced nurses. You will also be supported by our Client Care Team. The OOH rota is evenly shared and is currently a 1:6 rota. A strong work ethic and a desire to provide a high-quality service to our clients is vital, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team is essential. You will become part of a friendly approachable practice with a team centred approach, a can-do attitude and commercial awareness. CPD is encouraged and a generous CPD allowance is awarded along with a competitive package that is available for the right applicant. A house and car are available if required.
