With exciting growth plans for the future Northwest Veterinary Specialists (NWVS) is expanding and we’re looking for a Clinical Director to join, and lead, our clinical team.
The successful candidate will work alongside our Hospital Director to lead the referral centre as it grows and develops, both as an individual entity and as part of the Pets at Home Vet Group, and will work closely with senior specialist clinicians and with senior management within the Group.
Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a leading referral-only specialist small animal hospital in Cheshire. We are a true multidisciplinary hospital with departments in orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. Each of the clinical disciplines is staffed to European Diplomate or RCVS Specialist standards. The hospital is equipped to a very high standard and provides excellent inpatient facilities with qualified RVNs and veterinary interns on-site 24/7. Imaging includes computed radiography, fluoroscopy (with digital subtraction and road-mapping), ultrasonography and on-site MRI and CT.

As Clinical Director you will be a recognised Veterinary Specialist and have current experience of specialist clinical practice; you will be recognised and active in your own specialist discipline. The successful applicant should have good experience of managing teams within a clinical environment, ideally will also have experience of organising and coordinating the supervision of Intern and Residency training programmes and will be highly motivated by the challenge of further developing NWVS.
